Ceili Picnic is a pop-up music festival offering something unique during Fleadh Cheoil 2019. Taking place right in the heart of Drogheda at Duke Street carpark, this colourful and vibrant festival is aimed at families and music lovers seeking to experience the best in Irish culture, music and entertainment.
The festival runs from Sunday 11th to Sunday 18th August. Daily activities include family friendly entertainment such as face painting, story-telling, teddy bear’s picnic and music lessons, with good food and drink on tap. Our unique bandstand (or Jig Rig as we like to call it!) will feature local and international musicians daily.
On Tuesday 13th August headline acts Ryan Sheridan, Moxie and Blackwater Ceili Band take to the stage. On Wednesday 14th August Beoga, fresh from their support slots with Ed Sheeran, along with Ryan McMullan will set the stage alight. Tickets cost €20 for these headline events. Please note tickets are limited and early booking is advised.
Ceili Picnic offers free admission outside of our headline events, making it an accessible and integral part of the Fleadh experience. We want visitors to experience our colourful, vibrant, bold and fun festival, in a safe, contemporary and family friendly environment.
With a line up of traditional, modern, party and ballad music running all week, you’ll find something for everyone at Ceili Picnic. Start planning your attendance now. We can’t wait to see you there!
